Athletic Training

The Lassen College Sports Medicine Center is located in the Sports Complex Center and can be accessed through either the men’s or women’s locker rooms.

This health care facility is designed as an injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation center for the 10 participating sports within our athletics program. Each student-athlete's health, wellness, and safety are considered the highest priority of the Sports Medicine and Athletics staff. The Lassen College Sports Medicine team is managed by one Athletic Trainer who is supported by one family medicine practitioner, the local hospital and orthopedic center to provide the highest quality of care to the Cougar student-athletes.

The Sports Medicine department is continuously striving for excellence by staying informed on updated best practices, technology, and educational advancements.

All incoming student-athletes are required to complete a physical specific to athletic activity prior to participating in Lassen Community College athletics.

The physical must be documented on the form included below (page 1 of the packet) and must be performed and signed by a Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Physical forms completed by Physicians Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Chiropractors, or Physical Therapists will not be accepted.
