Lassen Dominates Feather River in Convincing 7-1 Victory

The Lassen College baseball team showcased impressive all-around performance in their 7-1 win over Feather River on April 18. Behind strong pitching and a balanced offensive attack, the Cougars put together a dominant display on the road. Pitcher Luke Morgan earned the win, tossing 6.1 innings of one-run ball, while closer Noah Kimura sealed the victory with 2.2 shutout innings, ensuring the Feather River batters couldn’t mount a comeback.

Lassen jumped on Feather River early, scoring four runs in the second inning and adding three more in the fourth. The Cougars’ lineup delivered key hits throughout the game, with Roque Serrano leading the charge, contributing two RBIs. Kylan Kono and Rominic Quiban also added to the offensive output, each with one RBI, while Jackson Rosenthal and Serrano each added two hits to the cause.

Feather River struggled to find offensive rhythm, with just one run across nine innings despite tallying nine hits. Kory Chu’s double and a late RBI from him were the lone bright spots for Feather River as Lassen’s pitching staff stymied the opposition throughout. Morgan and Kimura were efficient, limiting the damage and giving the Cougars plenty of breathing room for their offensive surge.

With this dominant win, Lassen looks poised to continue their strong push in the second half of the season, as their pitching depth and timely hitting are becoming a formula for success.
