Cougars drop series to Butte

Lassen would look to rebound in game two. Unfortunately, for the Cougars, they could not get overcome the Butte Roadrunners. Lassen only had three hits in the game and could not push across any runs. Lassen lost game two by a score of 11-0.

Reno native Bri Wheelen got the start in the circle for the Lady Cougars. Wheelen pitched five innings, giving up eight earned runs, 13 hits, one walk, and striking out one. Raegan Brown, Allison Deaton, and Julie Polanco were the only Cougars to record a hit.

“I thought we cleaned up some of our mistakes, but we still need to play smarter,” said Head Coach Colby Chavez.

 The Lady Cougars are 3-17.

Lassen will be back at home on Saturday, March 25, hosting Feather River College.
