Cougars fall to rival FRC

Lassen College Softball looked to put a win in the conference column on Saturday, March 25, taking on Feather River College for a two-game set. In game 1, the Lady Cougars fell to Feather River 15-1 in five innings. Lassen would again fall into an early hole and unable to climb out of it. Susanville local Michaelyn Shirley got the start for the Cougars, going three innings, giving up five earned runs, ten hits, four walks, and striking out one. Bri Wheelen would come in to close the game, pitching two innings giving up three earned runs, four hits, striking out one and one walk. Raegan Brown, Michaelyn Shirley, Skyler Curwen, and Joycelyn Lewis all had a hit for the Lady Cougars.  

“We need to dig deep and find a way to compete,” said head Coach Colby Chavez.  

The Lady Cougars are 3-18.
