Offensive woes continue for the Cougars against Butte

Game two of the doubleheader was identical to the first, with Lassen struggling on offense. Butte College would win the game 8-0 in five innings, capitalizing on a couple of Lassen errors.

Susanville local Michaelyn Shirley got the start in the circle for the Lady Cougars. Shirley pitched five innings, giving up seven earned runs, 14 hits, zero walks, and striking out none. Michaelyn Shirley was the only cougar to record a hit.

“Our bats need to get going. That is ultimately what is holding us back,” said Head Coach Colby Chavez.

 The Lady Cougars are 3-21.

Lassen will have a busy week starting April 12 for a doubleheader at Feather River College, then a doubleheader on April 14 at College of the Siskiyous, and then ending the week at home for a doubleheader against College of the Siskiyous.
