Cougars' season ends at CCSF

The Lassen College Lady Cougars, women’s basketball team, traveled to the Bay Area for a second-round matchup in the CCCAA State Playoffs against San Francisco City College. The Lady Cougars started out strong and trailed 19-17 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter would be all San Francisco, resulting in an 84-57 loss. The offense was led by Sydnei Collier, who scored 16 points and gathered eight rebounds. Haylee Sethman contributed 12 points.

“When you give up that many points in any quarter, getting back in the game is near impossible,” said Head Coach Derrick Jackson. “I’m very proud of how the team competed. It came down to one really bad quarter. The upset playoff win at Solano was a great effort. It was tough matching that intensity”.

The Lady Cougars ended the season 12-17.
