Lassen drops close one to Shasta

The Lassen College Women’s Basketball team hosted GVC foe Shasta College at the Bob Genasci Sports Complex. The game was close throughout, with the Lady Cougars trailing 26-19 at the half. Lassen College used a great half-court trap making the Lady Knights work hard for every shot but would fall short, losing to Shasta 48-43. Lassen had three players score in double figures, with Cierra Parson leading the way with ten points and ten rebounds. Sydnei Collier and Brooklyn Knox chipped in ten points. “It is close games like this that we need to win more of,” said Head Coach Derrick Jackson.

The Lady Cougars record as 11-12 and 2-4 in the GVC. On Saturday, they will travel to Eureka for their next conference game against College of Redwoods.
