Cougars lose finale

On February 21, 2025, Shasta handed Lassen another tough loss, defeating them 67-45 in the second game of the GVC women’s end-of-year round robin. Shasta took control early with a commanding 19-4 lead in the first quarter, and continued to build on their advantage throughout the game. Lassen struggled to find rhythm offensively, shooting just 27.3% from the field and 22.2% from three-point range. Despite a late surge in the third quarter, where Lassen outscored Shasta 17-16, they were never able to close the gap.

Graceyn Harlan led Shasta with a strong performance, scoring 19 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. Emma Gaddy and Bailey Matos each contributed 12 points, with Gaddy also adding 5 assists. For Lassen, Shalaya Barraza was the top scorer with 13 points, while Mallory Thompson chipped in 9 points.
